Baa Ram Ewe Coast Aran Yarn, 200g Hank, 100% British Wool

Baa Ram Ewe Coast Aran is a traditional Aran wool yarn made from 100% British wool.

Aran yarn is the classic wool traditionally used to knit cable sweaters in the coastal regions of Britain and Ireland, with the Irish island of Aran giving the yarn its name. Like traditional Aran yarns, Coast is worsted spun and hank dyed, following time-honoured methods.

After dyeing, an organic-based softener is applied to enhance the handle of the yarn. The shades in this range are inspired by fishermen and the colours of the coastline.

Each skein comes as a generous 200g hank, offering excellent value and plenty of yardage for larger knitting projects such as sweaters, cardigans and blankets.

The wool used in this yarn comes from non-mulesed sheep.
